Valsir launched its new product called Rainplus in South Africa in mid-May of this year at the Midrand Conference Centre.
Alessandro Giovannini, who heads up the Valsir engineering design department, along with Jason Varney, representative of Valsir Gauteng from Specialised Plumbing Supplies, informed guest about the new product.
The Rainplus is based on the principle using the height of the roof as the dynamic force making the flow rate reach a velocity of 8 m/sec. This capacity of maximising the effectiveness of the syphonics makes Rainplus a very efficient system.
According to Giovannini, the Rainplus has been conceived in order to convey the rainwater towards any area of the building thus making the collection of the water to be recycled in full compliance with the requirements of Green Buildings Programme extremely easy.
Rainplus was first exhibited at this year’s ISH, and South Africa will soon have this line on its shores. ◊
