The company was contracted to assist in combating dust during loading processes into docked ships at Richard Bay harbour. Hydro Foam and Dustbind was the solution. Hydro Foam was applied to the conveyor system at various stages, resulting in a remarkable improvement in the docking time of ships.

Hydro Foam is an environmentally friendly, safe product used for combating dust at areas where excessive water is a potential problem. It creates micro-bubbles and expands water up to 1,000 times creating surface tension that allows for a micron-thin product/water film to keep particles wet for longer. It is highly economical and requires less than two litres of water per ton treated.

Dustbind helps to control wind-initiated erosions. It’s a natural resin emulsion encrusting agent, formulated to penetrate and bind soil, coal and other particles to prevent dust drifting and dust liberation occurring. This biodegradable product is used effectively on fire hazardous sites, as it does not support combustion and is non-flammable.
